The second episodes of both aired Sunday night, and I was surprised no one started a thread, since there were threads last week, after the debuts. Most posters seemed to be optimistic and intrigued about the story lines.
So what’s up? Not worthy of a weekly thread? Disappointed in the second week’s effort?
So far, my favorite character on DH is Teri Hatcher’s daughter. She’s not the typical angst-ridden teen or mouthy spoiled brat. It’s nice seeing a “normal” teenager on TV.
I still like what James Spader does with his mouth, and I think the stalker ex-girlfriend story line is interesting. So far, everything she’s done to stay close to Spader has been plausible, but is understandably very wary.
Are you guys going to keep watching, do you think?
The second ep of Housewives was pretty weak. Forced and unfunny. And weirdly, they closed up a couple of plotlines - like Mike’s not being emotionally available. Doesn’t look good.
I didn’t bother to watch the second ep of Boston Legal and since I don’t regret it, I guess that’s it for that series.
Both series took large dives from their opening numbers, but still won their timeslots.
I thought the first episode of DH was intriguing, but I lost interested during the second episode. I saw I was going to get bored of the characters soon enough, and the novel presentation wasn’t going to sustain me.
I thought the first episode of Boston Legal was horrible and would never watch again. I was very turned off by the gratuitous cleavage and unrealistic storylines. (I’m a lawyer so I have a low tolerance for unrealistic lawyer shows. Law & Order is the only one I can watch.)
