I need to know whether grey formal trousers, a white shirt, formal tie and a black blazer is regarded as a formal dress for a business meeting. I have a business dinner tomorrow and I do not own a suit (trouser and jacket made of the same cloth). I am new to the US and hence this calrion call for help.
If the grey/white/black does not count as a suit then I ned to sepnd some money and buy a new one tonight. Help!

If you mean you’re supposed to wear “formal” attire, that means a tuxedo.
If you mean you’re supposed to wear “business” attire, then what you’ve described should be fine.
