I’m not going to behead anybody but I will say that making a sweeping statement that anyone who votes for McCain is “contemptible” is untrue, counter-productive, uneccessarily hostle and emotional rather than rational. It’s little different than the Coultergeist saying all liberals are “traitors.”
Unless you work for NRO, or are asserting that NRO constitutes the entire “we” that is Conservative America, no points will be awarded. Especially when NRO fired her not for being a rotten person, not even for being a rotten writer, but for hurting their widdle feelings.
A cursory search of posts by Scylla containing the word “Coulter” found no condemnations. I’m perfectly willing to be enlightened here, but what have you, personally, done to *prove *that you find her behavior unacceptable, in the way you seem to believe we should re: TVeblen?

They pretty clearly, I think expressed their displeasure with some of her more extreme and hostile comments.
I was a defender of Coulter for a while, even after her “convert them all to Christianity” thing. I will further confess that every now and then when I get shit on by a liberal here, or see something on the left that I don’t like, I will slither over to Coulter’s website and embrace the hatred for a while. On occasion when I do so I am dismayed to find a fairly reasonable article. She still does those every now and then.
I do not think that she should be shouted down at auditoriums where she’s invited to speak. I don’t think things should be thrown at her.
I think she knows exactly what she is doing. I think she caters to and creates hatred. I think she deliberately baits liberals into attacking her so she can use that as an example of how mean and stupid they are. I think she is cynical and revels in the hatred she creates.
She engages in selective perception to present one side of the story, and is guilty of most of the tactics she accuses others of. In some cases, such as today’s column, she proactively adopts tactics simply because she expects them to be used against her down the road (A kind of Bush doctrine, of political discourse “you’re about to lie about me, so I’ll lie about you first.”) She is proud of this.
I regret defending her in 2001 and 2002, as she has embraced divisiveness and hatred, and even her columns which are “reasonable” do nothing to promote a rational viewpoint.
You can do a deep search, or take my word for it, but I beleive I’ve expressed those sentiments on this board.
