The party at the Manoogian mansion which eventually ended up with Tamara Greene getting killed has been denied over and over. The cops that were investigating it got fired. They sued the city and collected millions. But it did not end there.
In 2003 State Police were leaving the Detroit Police headquarters with a box of evidence including 911 tapes , witness descriptions and cops computer files. They were confronted by Detroit Police executives who refused to allow the box to leave the building. They compromised and agreed to leave the evidence there in a sealed box.
The next day, when the State Police returned, they found the seal broken and the tapes were missing. Is there anyway to spin that as other than police corruption? The Detroit citizens tolerate way too much. The city can not be saved until the people of Detroit demand more from the police and the politicians. It is run like the governments of Iraq and Afghanistan. Corruption is the norm and runs through it from the top to the bottom.
Nuke the place from orbit. Let the glow serve as a warning to others.

Stripper at a party that wasn’t supposed to happen knows something she shouldn’t, mayor has some cop buddies kill her by shooting her 18 times through her car window, evidence immediately begins disappearing and investigations are shut down.
It’s like Precinct 13, except more realer.
It is stunning that Detroiters just sit back and allow this crap to happen over and over.
To be fair, most of us live outside the city and stand in equal awe with the rest of the country/world.
I was born in Detroit but have been a suburbanite for many years. The acceptance of poor governance has been going on for decades. When someone suggests Detroiters should quit voting thieves in, they get pissed off and say you have no right to bitch if you do not live in the city. You do not have to cross 8 Mile to tell something is wrong. Their tax money is lining the relatives of those who got voted in.
