Deus Ex..Need help

Hello, many years ago I read a book called Deus Ex. I have been trying to find this book but can not. Maybe you guys can help me out.

From what I remember, a company builds a computer that they having upgrading itself. It becomes aware. It connects with a lab in Mexico and then releases a virus. Which infects a bug (dragonfly maybe) and mutates it. It flies back to the US, lays some eggs then all hell breaks loose. A man has to drop down inside the building to destroy the AI.

That is all I can remember.If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

The Deus Machine is one of my favorites. The Third Pandemic is also excellent, as well.

Really disappointed this wasn’t about Deus Ex the video game.

I just popped in to say thanks to Hygrum for providing a description that made me want to read this book, and to Fritz for knowing what it was.

I wanted to also say that I checked ebay and got a hardcover copy, new condition, 1st Ed. for $1.99. The price at the amazon link that Fritz provided shows 1 copy for sale used (like new) for $23.95, so I wanted to let y’all know that you could find this book for substantially less.
