So, I just beat what’s-her-name the lust spider. Is she that easy for everyone, or just barbarians? I mean, seriously, surrounding her with hundreds of spiderlings? Those weren’t even a challenge back when they appeared in Act I. All they do is provide endless leech fodder.
We killed her so fast that she wasn’t even able to spawn spiderlings - the fight was over in about 10 seconds.
“Wow, her health is going down really fast, that can’t be right”
“No, I’m sure this is just the first stage in the fight”
[she dies, achievements pop up]
“…Guess not”
I am melting enemies in Act 3 with my Wizard. I have about 3200 life thanks to some really nice gear, and pushing 300 dps. I am using chain lightning and ray of frost, with other skills picked so I can spam ray of frost all day long on bosses. I fought Azmodan and I would have had him down, solo, in 15 seconds, except I got cocky and let him damage me a lot. Its was still a very fast fight!
I have been salvaging all of my loot for crafting materials, but I realized I should be selling most of it. The next level of craftables uses different materials, so I hav been missing out on a lot of money. Crafting has been hit or miss, and some people on the Bnet forums are complaining about the randomness of it, but I find that I like the extra chance to get something useful. Its like gambling in D2, but cheaper and you have a better idea what you are getting.
For anyone who thinks normal is easy – feel free to blast through and get to Nightmare.
I’m on Hell now.
It’s harder.
Only because the damn elites and champions get 3 attributes.
From the gripes thread, I accidentally posted this there, but my request still stands. I finally got the Diablo wikia to load, so I understand a bit more, but I think someone here may be better at explaining things.
Maybe just read the plot synopses for the games up on wikipedia?
It gives a plot synopsis as you’re installing it.
So do my mercenaries use their abilities on their own or am I supposed to activate them somehow? I can’t see the enchantress “charming” enemies at all.
she does. it’s just that your attacks hit the charmed monsters too.
Also a bunch of new attributes open up that didn’t appear earlier, even on Nightmare. Invulnerable Minions can go die in a fire.
I’m really enjoying playing on my Witch Doctor now. I’ve learnt to accept the differences between this and D2 and even embraced the auction house. The simple fact is that despite all the changes and compromises it’s still a bloody fun game when the server is up.
IMHO the game gets a lot better after Normal difficulty. In Nightmare the champs and elites can be very challenging and fun, in Hell even the trash is deadly if you don’t pay attention.
Do you still need it DigitalC? If you can wait 24 hours I have a spare one that I can send you the code for by PM, but it’s in my desk at work and I’m home right now.
Yes, thank you much. Don’t mind waiting at all :).
I’ve been really excited about this game and I have the time to play it, but no one to play it with! My husband is in Afghanistan and my siblings have been busy. Most people on multiplayer like to run through the levels. Anyone want to join me as I level up? Message me your battlenet info and I’ll add you!
You might be interested inthisthread. Lots of us are already playing together!
The PROPER way to play diablo is to reveal the entire map every time. No excuses.
I’ll second checking out the Co-Op thread and adding your tag there, as well as copying and pasting all the other tags into your buddy list.
There’s at least a couple of groups who also use vent in order to better coordinate (harass each other).
Especially now that there are Brigadoonian events and dungeons. Who knows, that isolated corner of the map just might have something you’ve never seen before, even the last three times you explored the whole map.
No, they really can’t. That’s the problem.
Well, to be fair they do when you kill the champion…
