Pulmonary Embolism?
Clearly the incident that occured in post #7 also lead to retro-grade amnesia soon after he started this thread…
not only will he now denie the incident in post # 7 as having happened, its unlikely he’ll even recall starting this thread, and will likely wonder who stole his password… he may even search the board for his “I love sheep” thread.
I went to a doctor once with pain in my ribal area.
“Doctor”, I sad, “I have pain here, here and here”, pointing to spaces between my ribs.
“Ah” she said “I’ve been seeing that a lot lately. You have Inter-Costal Myalgia”.
“Thanks” I said. Then, belatedly summoning up my last scraps of primary school Latin, “‘Myalgia’ … doesn’t that mean ‘pain’?”
“Yes” she said.
“And ‘Costal’ … doesn’t that mean ‘to do with the ribs’?”
“Yes” she said.
“So”, I said, “I tell you I have pain between my ribs, and you tell me what I have is pain between my ribs?”
“Yes” she said.
I never saw her again.
I’m sure that’s because she had to run off to Sweden to accept her Nobel Prize.
Retro-bulbar mictalgia. Oh, wait, that’s pain behind the eye when you pee…
Sorry I meant to respond to the first correct “diagnosis” and then forgot about it.
shantih got it - pleurisy. Always seemed like a Dickensian kind of illness to me. Boy it hurts though. The doc told me it would be much better in 48 - 72 hours and suggested anti-inflammatories. They are a bit hard on the stomach so I just put up with the pain. Fortunately she was right. I woke up this morning just about pain free.
Well, phew! Glad to know you’re not dead, and feeling better besides.
Fun thread, by the way. It was interesting to see how many (real) things could cause “pain in the left chest.”
Woot! I got it right! I got it right!
In your FACE, everyone who got it wrong! Ha!
doing the dance of victorious superiority
So, pleurisy isn’t such a lot of fun, but isn’t it lucky that my second guess wasn’t the correct one?
Do I win a huge prize? Do I, do I?
I still think **Friedo ** got it right and the Pleurisy thing is just a coverup.
I’ll bet he farted anyway, and felt better, despite the pleurisy.
