Will Dick Clark be hosting (or co) the New Years Rocking Eve again? i hope so.
Hopefully they’ll have topped up his formaldehyde by then.
Generally speaking, a person does all their reversal and recovery from a stroke within the first six months following the event. My guess is that if he cannot speak clearly now, he probably won’t be able to by New Year’s Eve. It’s a bummer. I always got a kick outta him.
I hope he shows up as some sort of Grand Master of Ceremonies (and continues to do so until he shuffles off the mortal coil), but leaves the bulk of the actual emceeing to someone else. Last year’s show was a little awkward for me to watch, Clark was so slurry.
Side question: if he were to do the above-suggested thing, who would be a good host? It’s be nice if the person were fairly young, so maybe someone else could begin to build a 40-50 year tradition.
They already have “passed the torch.” It’s going to be Ryan Seacrest’s gig now (although I imagine they’ll keep wheeling DC out for a while.)
