Did Armstrong REALLY walk on the moon?

I have heard rumors about how Mr. Neil Armstrong never walked on the moon and that the U.S of A made it look like he did just to make it seem like they beat the Russians.

I he could have but I would like to hear the real answer.

Remember, don’t believe everything you hear/read.

If anything, it’s hard to believe the government could keep something of that magnitude secret for 30 year, without the Russians saying anything (And you know they’d take any hint of a faked moon landing and run with it).

Staff Report:
Was the Apollo moon landing a hoax?

I’ll move this to our “Comments on Staff Reports” forum.

oh God, not again

Apparently, Man has never set foot in Belgium, either.

Well, no, Armstrong didn’t walk on the Moon. It was more like hopping or skipping, really, what with the low gravity.

But he had that heavy pack on, which probably weighed 40 points even on the Moon. So it was probably more like a combination trudge-saunter.

That pack played hob with Alan Shepard’s golf swing, too, a fact which conveniently lets me link to a web site I just discovered which presumably would allow you – for a price – to remotely swing a golf club or direct a roving vehicle on the moon. You can participate in a nine-hole foursome on the Sea of Tranquility for only $75,000!

To which my reaction is: you guys do it and let me know how it goes.

If someone insists that we didn’t land on the moon in 1969, ask them why the Russians publicly admitted to picking up signals from our men on the moon.

When they supposedly landed on the moon, the moon was down to a quarter phase, so they would have cut themselves on the sharp edge and probably fallen off.

Also, their boots would have got stuck in the green cheese.

He’d better have, or Mrs. Gorsky is gonna be really pissed.

Not that I believe we didn’t go to the moon…BUT…how come there are no pictures of stars from the moon’s surface? How come there are no pictures of the astronauts on the surface with the earth behind them? You know like the pictures we take here on earth of us standing in front on some landmark.

There are pictures of the stars, but it takes special effort to take them. Just like you can’t take pictures of the stars from Earth without taking special efforts. And there are several pictures of the Earth in the background.

I seem to have lost all my bookmarks. Drat! Here, start here.

The bulletin board there is a great place to ask questions about Apollo, but do not accuse it of being a fake or you will receive some rather withering stares.

Also check out The Apollo Lunar Surface Journal, a major resource for transcripts and pictures of the lunar missions, and many technical descriptions of the equipment used.

Which one?

Louis Armstrong?
Bess Armstrong?
Lance Armstrong?
Jack Armstrong, All-American Boy?

You left out my two favorites:

Stretch-Armstrong, and
Armstrong Solarian Tile.
