Did Christie (or his staff) intentionally cause the Fort Lee traffic jam?

[moderating]

This is a warning for personal insults. If you feel you must, the BBQ Pit is right around the corner.

[/moderating]

Crap. I thought I was in the Pit. I distinctly even remember opening the Pit forum right before this.

How the fuck did I mess up like that? Am I gonna have to add a tweak that marks the Pit in a different color scheme or something?

I really do not want to break the rules here.

I have no dog in this fight, but he obviously knew about it. I don’t give two shits what happens to him from here, but he knew about it.

People have gotten away with murder before. As has been said many times, better that a guilty man go free than an innocent man be imprisoned. I think a better question is why you are apparently so overjoyed at the prospect of this scumbucket getting away with this particular crime.

Better a hundred scum buckets go free than miss one chance to taste sweet liberal tears.

Lol, nice try at changing the subject. The fact is that I have stated repeatedly that I believe Christie was complicit in Bridgegate.

Whether he is culpable and whether he will resign over the scandal are two different questions. Because wishes are not reality.

Lol, my joy comes from seeing partisan hacking getting blown out.

Anyway, I take it you now admit that your prediction looks like it turned out to be incorrect?

Or are you still confident that Christie will resign over Bridgegate?

He is a bit more than a month away from having a Democrat elected to replace him and but a few months away from seeing his successor sworn in. Just grease his hips a little and push him through the door and this inflamed boil on the buttocks of America can just drain away.

When you predicted he would resign, you were wrong.

Do you disagree?

When a tree falls in the woods, does it matter if it was felled by a beaver or the wind? Christie is leaving, let us celebrate that!

Yes. We can’t do much about the wind, but traps can be used to relocate meddlesome beavers to avoid more tree damage.

First let’s point out the obvious:

(1) Christie did not resign
(2) You confidently predicted he would resign
(3) Your confident prediction was wrong
(4) As usual

Bob, this is an easy one, just admit you happened to be wrong and this thread can die again like it should. Its no big deal. I am wrong too often to think about.

From Merriam Webster:

The inauguration of Christie’s Democratic successor is a formal act at which time Christie will resign as governor. He will resign, albeit with less shame and disgrace than deserved.

Jesus, Bob - let it go. You were wrong. That the outcome - the likely end of Christie’s political career and credibility - isn’t significantly different is some comfort, but he didn’t resign and he wasn’t indicted.

Unlike the traffic on the bridge, you can move on. I suggest you do so.

You have just reached Republican-levels of twisting definitions.

Jeez, seriously? I hope you’re joking at this point.

You can even admit error with a Back handed insult. “I admit I was mistaken in that I underestimated the utter lack of shame that Christie was capable of.”

This is just embarrassing.

By the way, New Jersey has term limits for its governors. So this is not even a case of the governor realizing that he has no chance of re-election and deciding to step aside.

Chris Christie will be legally ineligible to be governor since he has already served two consecutive terms.

But I suppose it’s remotely possible that he will resign between now and the time his term ends in 2018. So BobLibDem has a glimmer of hope.

Hey, I’m just honing my pedantry skills. Got a lot of work to do to catch up with some people here.

There was, perhaps, hope that he would be forced out as a result of some formal investigation into his doings. But in retrospect, there was never any hope that he would resign out of shame, because, as we now know, the man has no shame.
