Did Pres. Bush's address abut Iraq this evening change your mind about anything?

Just curious.

I had been impressed about his resistance to the “2nd term gray hair” phenomenon. One pic I saw of him today made him look in his 70s.

I missed the address. I thought I had it on because there was this scrawny guy singing about how he wished he had a brain but when the shiny guy I thought was Dick Cheney started singing about how he wished he had a heart I realized it wasn’t the address.

Well, I’m moderately impressed that he hasn’t produced any sort of timetable for pulling out of Iraq, even though it would probably improve his image to do so. Now, if he’d used this kind of patience, restraint, and moral fortitude in deciding how to respond to 9/11, I’d likely approve of him.

I’m surprised you hadn’t noticed this yet. My wife and I really noticed this a year or so ago.

Since he really is our most fit President since color film, I thought perhaps he’d come through it looking about the same. Nope. He’s gone grey quickly.

I still think he looks better than Clinton. Clinton went from attractive to downright scary!

Not really. But see I see his point about not pulling out according to a set timetable.

I found his characterization of critics as defeatist and his “sage counsel” for those who disagree with him to not give into despair as condescending and patronizing.

His press conference today didn’t do a thing to help his image or his actions with me, either. He has taken disingenousness to whole nother level, no?

Eh, I’d say I’m more impressed with his year end news confrence this morn. He’s improved leaps and bounds with being put on the spot by the media.

No.
