The false claims followed a Zoom call this week that featured Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas, suggesting that “U.S. Army forces” had seized servers from a Frankfurt office of the software company Scytl.
I think the involvement on Louie Gohmert is all that needs to be said.
I don’t think Trump sees corruption as being wrong. I’ve made the comparison before to how Trump cheats at golf. He just sees these things as the perks of his power. He feels that doing things like stealing money, assaulting women, giving his children jobs, and lying about his golf score are the kinds of things he is entitled to do as a powerful man. It’s his right as king.
So when other people do these same thing, Trump gets mad. Not because they’re doing these things; Trump does them himself. He gets mad because they are challenging him by claiming his privileges. When somebody else cheats at golf, they are claiming they are as powerful as Trump is and should have the same rights he has.
Nobody died in the secret mission, and said secret mission didn’t happen. The 305th is an entry-level training unit, where new soldiers go fresh out of boot camp until they can begin training for whatever their specialty will be.
(bolding mine) Do you think Trump knows that he can’t speak coherently? My impression is that, since crowds cheer him at his rallies, he thinks he’s a great speaker.
If you tell me that Giuliani was always an asshole, well, I can believe that. But the Giuliani of 9/11 was at least a competent asshole. What happened to all of that competence?
There is no middle ground. You either adore him, or you get attacked by him. There is NO compromise, nothing is ever left on the table.
I just started reading Mary Trumps book about what a mess he is. And, well, I’m a bit ashamed to say I actually have a bit empathy and feel sorry for how fucked up he is. I feel the same for rabid dogs.
