I am not trying to act political here I just have a question about this horrible tragedy in NYC and Washington.
Would the lack of intellgence warning received by the National Security Council, FBI and others a result of a new administration – or would this have happened regardless of whose administration was in the oval office?
Do we have the same intellegence network we have always had or does it change with each new president?
The Intelligence Community doesn’t change much WRT to who is President. The people who do the actual work are employeed, not political appointees, and continue to do their jobs. The people who run the things are political apointees and their decisions may affect things like what nations/groups are targetted more strongly and so on - but the intelligence community in the US keeps a pretty strong eye just about everyone anyway.
