When my wife and I filled out our taxes this past April, we knew we would be moving sometime soon. So we used her parents’ address for our taxes. Then when we got our refund check recently, it was sent to the parents house… along with 2 form letters (arriving on the exact same day) from credit card companies offering me pre-approved cards. I’d never received mail at that address until the refund check came! So did the IRS sell my name to MBNA? Is that how Bush is funding his tax cuts? The only other theory I can think of is that MBNA used the Freedom of Information Act to obtain names and addresses of everyone receiving a check. Anyone know for sure?
