Did We Really Go To the Moon? Think about it

The fact of the 69 moon landing did not preclude misunderstandings and hoaxes. For example, I recall watching a simulation of a moon walk on TV shortly before the landing, leading to converations over who had seen the moon walk even though it had no happened yet. I also recall pebbles being passed about the community ostensibly as moon rocks, despite it being absurd that real moon rocks would actually be distrubted publicly, let alone in great quantity.

Of course none of this sort of nonsense detracted from what thousands participated in and millions watched – humankind’s reaching the moon. That some questioned the landing then and some question it today is truly pitiful, and not worth debating anymore than debating what planet we are on now or whether or not we exist.
