Did you attend church today?

If you did, what time did the service start? How long did it last? What was the message of today’s sermon?

I’m just curious, is all.

Nope.

Since the OP is really looking to conduct some sort of poll, a better choice than General Questions is IMHO. Moved.

Nope. However, if I HAD attended, it would have started at 11am and been over no later than 12:15. Our priest likes to zip through the Mass… he’s a rather… portly fellow and looks forward to lunch! LOL

The earth would have stopped…so no.

Huh.

If I wanted to do a poll, I’d have made one. I didn’t.

I am not seeking opinions. It was a factual question. Did you? How long? What was the message?

Of course that’s just my opinion, I’m just the OP, what the hell do I know?

Nevertheless, IMHO is the forum to solicit comments from other posters. GQ is for questions that have one specific answer.

And I did not attend a religious service today.

Yes.

8:00am

About 1 hour

Sermon: Love, living in this world in accordance to Jesus’ teachings (as interpreted by the RCC, of course! )

Nope. I was reading the gospels of TvTropes. Not that I’d go to church in the best of circumstances.

Nope.

Didn’t have to go to a wedding or a funeral. So the answer is no.

Nope. Went once, in 1979, that was enough.

No.

No. Slept in and did the NY Times crossword puzzle.

Yes. 8:30 Mass. I usually go to 5 on Saturday but wasn’t able to yesterday. The Gospel was the story of losing a sheep and leaving the 99 you had to find the lost one, losing a coin and sweeping the house to find it, and the prodigal son ( long Gospel today). The homily was about forgiveness. The service lasted about an hour.

They won’t let me attend. :frowning:

I didn’t go to church this today, but I will be holding Circle here later. See, I finally got an apartment (!), and today is Moving Day, to be followed by a House Blessing. So the topic of the “sermon” will be Making a Space Your Own With The Help Of Family and Friends.

Nope. 46 year-old woman and I don’t think I have been to a Sunday service since I was 10 or 11 years old.

My kids went. I asked them about it.

“How was church?”
“Fine.”
“What did they say?”
“Nothing.”
“Ok…what was your favorite part then?”
“Leaving. Can I get back to my game now…?”

I usually do, but I decided to stay home today. We are having a Cardinals kickoff party and I figured I’d better stay home and make sure everything is cleaned up and ready to go.

Would have been at 11AM. The service usually runs until 12:15 or 12:30. I’ll listen to the sermon when it is posted on the church website and report back on what it covered.
