I know that some of you who knew me from before PTP are aware that I write and draw an online comic strip called “Scandal Sheet!” (which can be found at http://scandalsheet.comicgenesis.com). For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, it follows the adventures of a group of people who work at a supermarket tabloid newspaper – one where some of the stories are true.
Over the last couple of years, real life has interfered with my update schedule to the point that on more than one occasion the comic went on extended hiatus. The most recent of these gaps was the longest – three months, from March to May of this year. During the long hiatus, I lost a lot of readers (and deservedly so - I can’t expect people to keep clicking over forever if there’s no new content). I’m reaching out to my ex-readers to invite them to give “Scandal Sheet!” another chance.
Back in the beginning of June, around the comic’s sixth anniversary, I decided to quit treating my comic like it didn’t matter. Since then, I’ve racked up over fifteen weeks of rock-solid updates – not even late updates, much less any missed ones.
So if you used to read “Scandal Sheet!” and quit, come on back - you have a couple of months of comics to catch up on. If you’ve never read it, come on over – you have a couple of years of comics to catch up on. (it’ll be worth your while, I promise.) And if you like it, spread the word!
