Yep, I want an answer, and I want it now. Is Zeus’ almighty “I-rule-all-the-gods” power strong enough to defeat Thor and his Hammer? Place your bets, and we’ll see who really is the Polythestic Powermonger of ancient times.
I think Zeus is a bit of a pansy personally, and without his bevy of lesser gods behind him, he’ll have his ass whupped by the Thunder God. But don’t tell him I said that.
Look, all Thor needs to do is have Jane Foster stand on the sidelines and give Herc a Mardis Gras special. The moment he’s distracted…WHAM!..Mjolnir right in the kisser.
Please… Thor is just a hammer and bolt man, plus he’s just not all that bright. Zeus is a clever fellow and he’s the head God. Thor doesn’t stand a chance. Zeus vs Odin would be more of a matchup.
Going by Marvel Superheroes RPG stats, Zeus would stomp all over Thor. astro’s right; Zeus v. Odin would be the much more interesting fight. That one I’d give to Odin because he’s an accomplished wizard in addition to being the head of a pantheon. I think that edge would win the day for him. Then, of course, the two skydaddies would team up to fight the Demiurge, Chthon, or something else that threatens the existence of all the godly realms. Excelsior!
Zeus for his shaping shifting ability. Greek gods can change form; the Norse can’t. At the sound of Apollo’s lyre Zeus changes into all the heros of the Trojan war, Thesus, Persus, Hercules, a bull, etc. Multi-Zeus surrounds hammer boy and pounds if to a pulp before Thor can pound all of the clones. Sound familiar? I blatantly stole it from pokemon. Eat me, Nintendo!
