I just tried the link in browsers not logged into Night Cafe and it seems to be a normal shared image to me. But in Night Cafe choose Dreamshaper XL Lightning from the extensive options of models.

I’m not sure where the confusion sets in, so I’ll go from the very basics. Night Cafe is a web site that allows you to use various AI engines to create images. The site is the original subject of this thread when the thread began more than a year ago. Many hundreds of the posts have been about Night Cafe. You go to Night Cafe. You create an account. You go to “create”. You switch to “advanced mode” using the slider at the top. You choose your model (in this case Dreamshaper XL Lightning). You type in the prompt (in this case “Mulder and Scully confronting Alf”). You choose your image settings, you hit “create”.
OK, thanks for the tips. After playing for a bit, I still really can’t stand NC. No matter the model, I still get better results from Bing, and NC has such a crap interface, and the money grubbing and inability to make more than 1 full size image stinks. I don’t know why Bing gives me better results, they probably have some under-the-hood prompt massaging?
I mean, Bing has lots of issues, no customization, and just randomly blocks prompts and won’t tell you why, but with persistence I can get decent results, and I get four full size (well, 1k^2) results when I hit on a good prompt that I’m having fun with.
What I really miss is Catbird.ai . That was big fun.
Because Bing is using Dall-E 3, which is more advanced than SDXL.
I don’t follow you - Nite Cafe has Dall-E 3 and I’ve used it.
I was never offered any free renders for that. To me it is a paid subscription only feature.
I’m having some fun with civitai.com if anyone wants to give it a go. Tons of models, but no apparent way to just subscribe and get more features.
Night Cafe has introduced animation - as in you can animate any one of your creations. It’s Pro feature, but they’re giving everyone five freebies. I’m not sure what the actual credit cost is going to be. I’m also not sure what the results are like yet as I’ve just set one off and it takes quite a while to render, obviously.
Initial results are … meh.
You get a three second video. The starting image is obvious and the video makes immediate and obvious changes to the image. I don’t know if that makes sense, so let’s see if I can upload the results here…
