This online resource is the first of its kind to provide detailed data on fish obtained through anatomical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which non-invasively collects information on soft tissues that are pieced together to complete a 3D digital image of the fish.

Designed for scientists and students, the Digital Fish Library (DFL) offers information and soon digital dissection tools to investigate and manipulate virtual fish specimens from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Marine Vertebrate Collection.
