Digital Gifts?

I have a friend in Australia who lives at her computer, fixing PCs for others and playing games. For Christmas, I could easily just get her a game that’s on her wishlist on Steam, but I thought I’d see if anyone had an idea for any other gifts that are fully digital and don’t come in a box. Since she does PC repair, I’m wondering if there’s any applications that are super-good for diagnosing a system, and purchase only, or other handy utils.

Or maybe the world’s coolest screen saver app?

Whatever you can think of!

Nothing?

Well, I was going to make a joke based on the thread title and my name, but wanted to wait for real answers…

Do you know what she already has for tech stuff on her computer? You’ll (obviously) want to avoid getting her something she already has.

Other than that…I don’t have any cool ideas. Hopefully someone more up to date on cool PC toys will wander by.

I’ve never shopped with them, but maybe something from http://www.thinkgeek.com/ ?

What sort of games does she like? Maybe you can find her one online that she hasn’t played yet. If she is a Diablo fan, she might like Hellgate London. This is a free to play game, but it will cost $5 to get into act 3. If she likes it, you could sign up long enough to buy her the ticket.

Does she like arcade games? You could go to Big Fish and open an account in her name and pay for a year. I think it costs about $4 a month for unlimited downloads.

Does she play games like WOW or Secondlife? If so, go buy her some cool looking armor or clothes.

That’s all I’ve got.
