Digital Images? Color Depth? Zesty?

      • I got Paint Shop Pro 7 a short while back and have been playing with it in various ways. There’s a lack of a feature that I can’t help but wonder why they left it out: why isn’t there a true-color format included that supports transparency? If it’s there, I can’t find it. When editing photos, every time I go to add a another true-color image as a layer to an exiting image it says to decrease the color depth to 8 bits, and the result looks noticeably poorer. Not zesty.

I can’t speak to the shortcomings of PSP, but Photoshop is the tool for the job you’re describing. Yes, it does (of course) support 32-bit images. And you can adjust the transparency layer-by-layer as well as having transparency WITHIN a layer (or anywhere between transparency to opaque color).
