DirecTV customers -- some very good news for your summer

Starting July 18, DirecTV will show the HBO series “The Wire” uncut and in HD on its Channel 101!

If you haven’t seen it, it’s simply one of the best television series ever made.

And I don’t think it would work on TV in an edited form (have you ever tried to watch “The Sopranos” on A&E?).

This is worth getting DirecTV for if you don’t have it. It’s that good.

The 101 is pretty cool. I watched the new season of Friday Night Lights there (months ahead of the NBC showing) – and no commercials! They’ve also shown Deadwood, The Nine, and Oz.
