This has been going on for the past two weeks now. I lost two episodes of Dr. Who, Thursday night NBC, two BSGs, the last ep of Lost, and an ep of Burn Notice, all recorded in HD. All I get is a grey screen. It lets me fast forward, but there is no picture or sound. Are these “recordings” lost? Any suggestions? When I talked to Directv, the Customer Service Rep said that she didn’t know what I was talking about and thought it might be a software issue. They told me to reset the console and let it update. Some shows record, but for the last two weeks, I’ve been batting .500. Does anyone have an idea of what’s happening?
You have a defective box, most likely.
Google HR20 (or 21) and gray/grey screen for other reports of failures.
Have fun. I used to love DTV and recommended them to tons of friends, but things change.
I’m starting arbitration with DTV next month over similar matters, or I should say, matters that have resulted from similar problems.
