Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency Season 2 - discussion(open spoilers)

I so love this show. Dirk got called a Hoopy Frood I believe this episode.

Also like the fact Farah’s jacket has a 42 on it.

Traumatized by his mother killing his father with a pair of scissors, The Boy™, who can create things with his mind (see also: The Twilight Zone, et al) creates Windamere, starting I believe with the murals on the wall of their home. He gets turned in to Blackwing, who apparently keeps him on ice. At one point or another, Dirk was assigned as his caretaker. Dirk even considered him his best friend, despite the fact that the guy was in a coma.

So long story short, terror boy creates demi-plane to escape in. Sci fi plot #214.

If there is a season 3 I’m going to have to forget this series exists for two years just so i can binge it in one day.

To answer my previous question about all the Blackwing projects, there is a pictogram that keeps popping up that is supposedly them. Lemme see if I can google it.

Here it is!. There are a whole lot of projects. Each project doesn’t necessarily have only one person in it. The question of whatever happened to the old leader of Blackwing (the one from last season) hasn’t been answered. Are we to assume idiot Boy killed him?

Otherwise known as the reality warper.

But The Boy™ arrived on the boat from somewhere, right? That’s a mystery we’ve yet to hear a reasonable explanation for.

With only two episodes to finish the season they will have a lot to clean up. Susie and the Mage seemingly have the upper hand in each of their adopted worlds and our heroes are in dire straights. I really hope Hobbs is OK, I’ve missed him in the last few episodes.

Why was the truck taken to Windemeer? What an interesting execution method. I almost expect the angry queen/mother to say “Off with their heads!” Loved the “Hoopy frood” reference. Witchypoo’s friend in Blackwing is the toy (I forget her name) that Ken has uncovered, right? This is not Mr Priest’s first rodeo. What was in the cage? The Purple People Eater?

Is Sherlock dead?

I don’t think so, nothing definite yet.

All we know is that his car is in the quarry. I suspect he’s not dead, but is going to be used by the mage against Tina and Farrah.

BTW, great job Deputy Tina, being a real cop and helping the case. She’s moved on from her freaking out back at the station.

Did The Boy arrive on the boat, or is the boat The Boy? The couple who had discovered the boat - were they the Cardinas? I thought the boat appeared during the '67, which was when The Cardinas disappeared.

“Mona” is the shapeshifter.

I’m reasonably sure the Purple People Eater is in the crate.

Bart and Prince Purple Hair broke out of jail and are presumably in Westmeer,no? They didn’t appear in this last episode.

Wouldn’t it be crazy if The Boy actually turns out to be the boat? Like, Amanda ports it to Wendimoor where it crushes the evil mage/Susan, leading to a happy ever after?

Episode 9 “Don’t Panic” I love these little touches.

I love when a small army of evil knights start backing away from one woman with a chainsaw.

As much as I hate “fix everything” buttons, I hope The Boy can fix everything. It rather sucks that everyone in Wendimore is dead.

I’m pretty sure that is going to happen and I generally don’t like it myself but this time it kind of works at least. Similar to “The Doctor Dances” from the first season of the new Doctor Who. That is the only time I didn’t mind the big reset. I liked the little reset in Galaxy Quest, but that only fixed 13 seconds.

Oh Bart, you tried to stop killing people.

Has Priest caught one, single person?

Is Ken always going to end up working for the bad guys?

Idiot Boy is dangerously hilarious.

Can’t wait to see how this all works out. Will the boy reset Windemore? Will killing Suzie return her son and husband back to normal? Will Amanda ever stop being annoying to me? Stay tuned.

I think Ken is going to change the way Blackwing operates and make it be a better place.
Amanda is annoying to you? I like that character a lot.

Amanda’s punk rock lite personality grates. The writers should know that, just because she sometimes gives the finger to an annoyance, doesn’t mean she’s punk.

Oh and also, meant to say about Ken and Blackwing-- do you think the old leader from last season, who also seemed to want to help the “projects” will show up again and hook up with Ken?

I thought Friedkin killed the old leader.

I just did some digging, Col. Scott Riggins was the old leader.
