I’m starting to twitch because Bart isn’t killing anyone.
Maybe she’s saving up for a fantastic killing spree in the season finale? Or is that just hope springing eternal.
Where did this handbasket come from?
He’s got neither of those.
I’m disappointed with this season so far. Dirk has become a wet blanket, Bart and Ken barely have any screen time, and all the FantasyLand scenes are corny.
But it’s the fantasy land of an 8 year old boy drawn in crayon, isn’t it? I think it works with that in mind.
But yes Bark needs more air time and looking forward to Dirk going into full franic holistic mode.
I stumbled upon the first episode of the second season and was halfway through the second episode when I realized I had to start from the beginning. So I started season one at about 10:30 PM on a Tuesday night and didn’t stop until my husband was getting ready for work Wednesday morning.
Although it was what drew me in, I’m not liking this season as much as season one. Everyone is more normalized. Bart doesn’t kill everyone she meets, Todd has lost his disbelieving cynical edge, Dirk is meek and subdued, the Rowdy 3 are much, much less rowdy and I’m super not liking Amanda the Punk Rock Witch.
However. . . Is Hobbs dead? What is possessing Suzie? Why is Dirk so meek and subdued? What does he know that he’s not telling?
What we know: Arnold was not the Cardena’s natural born child. He was found on The Infant, Male, Pollock, Francis. It was the mage that sent the things Arnold made up in his fantasy into the house somehow. Or the larger house inside the regular house.
If there is some origin info on the wand, I haven’t noticed it. It seems to me this season is setting up how, even though the universe metes out “fate”, even the special people can control their own destiny.
Question: What happened to the old leader of Blackwing? The one who was the idiot’s boss in season 1.
Although he’s pretty violent, Priest isn’t very good at capturing anybody, is he? Is Ken a good guy or a bad guy? Is he trying to help Bart (and the other specials) or is he going to manipulate Idiot Military Leader for his own gain?
Yeah, I don’t think season 2 is as good as 1 but I’m hooked. How will this all tie together?
Oh and one more thing-- I get the feeling that someone in the Detective Agency is going to die this season. There’s a lot of foreshadowing. Dirk not wanting to solve the case properly because he fears his friends will die and Bart telling Pantos that something very bad was going to happen is worrying to me.
It looks to me as if Ken may be the head honcho of Blackwing by next season.
I hope the corgi is his assistant.
I agree Dirk is a wet blanket. My take is that, last season, he was the driving force and collected all these people he dragged along. This season he has people jumping to help him and all doing stuff to solve the mystery, not just relying on him. He had the time loop last time, so he knew what was going on. He doesn’t this time. I think he’s also freaked that Todd has the disease now, that he didn’t before.
I’d probably go along with Ken leading Blackwing next year, selling his new bosses on allowing these people to run around and ‘guide’ their activities instead of simply warehousing them. I’d put it at Priest killing Stupid Guy then being killed by Bart.
Wahoo! I too have solved it!
Anybody remember the old guy in a coma at Blackwing from Episode 1? The one who was considered to be extremely dangerous and whose only friend was Dirk Gently? He’s the boy who dreams reality.
Which is why the boy’s the key.
Which is why Dirk Gently’s the only one who can save them.
Which is why everything can be put back as it ought to be.
Now if only Bart will kill Mr. Priest and Susan.
Pretty good. But there’s gotta be a lesson in choosing your own path and not letting fate push you around.
BTW, do we know all the Blackwing participants? Was Bart in Blackwing? I need to watch the last episode. Don’t they come on on Saturdays?
Agreed about the lesson. We don’t know ALL of the Blackwing participants, but we do know a number. Bart was in Blackwing. Yes, they are on Saturdays.
Gold Star there, Prof. Pepperwinkle.
After watching Saturday’s episode, I have to agree even more with The Professor’s prognostications.
I just watched the most recent episode, and I have a serious question:
Where were the Rowdy 3???
Lots of death in this latest episode. Dirk’s girlfriend reminded me of Bart. I don’t think the Mage has given up; I think he’s tricking Susie to do his dirty work. He’ll be back as the big bad. Todd and Amanda took up right where they left off - different people headed in different directions.
Things are beginning to come into focus, but I still don’t quite get the history of how Windemere came to be.
Weren’t they off fighting the square heads as a 3 person army?
Dirk’s girlfriend reminded me very strongly of Cyndi Lauper.
Okay, that helps. Thanks.
Dirk’s girlfriend reminded me of Gollum in Cindy Lauper’s body.
That’s exactly what I told Madame P. as we watched the episode!
