Answering this question involved holding up the keyboard and peering at it from odd angles…the newish black keyboard strikes again!

My GOD, my entire keyboard is just plain filthy! It’s hard to decide just which keys are the worst. The entire top function row is pretty nasty-looking, but I suspect I’d be able to get most of that off with a damp cloth. The “Insert,” “Home,” “Page Up,” “Page Down,” “End,” and “Delete” group are really grimy, with the “Page” buttons the worst. There’s an odd-looking key on the bottom row in between the right window and control buttons that looks to have some substance dried onto it (not egg, though, I’m pretty sure, and I’m not tasting anything till Mullinator posts again to let us know he lived). The number row has a fairly thick buildup of both grime and dust, and all the other keys have oogy-looking grime on the sides. I’m assuming I just wear the gunk off the tops of the keys with my fingers as I type. I have no little bumpy things on my “F” and “J” keys anymore and I’ve also worn the printing off the “N,” “M,” “E,” "A,“S,” and “L” keys.
I tried to get a new keyboard last time I went to Staples, but I got one with the wrong kind of connector. It looks like I’ll need to try that again soon.
Now I have to go wash my hands. Twice.
My keys aren’t that bad. Between the keys is pretty nasty though… lotsa dust buildup.
Ick. Where’s my canned air?
I use the new mental interface.
But, on my old keyboard, it was the T K R E C U F
I type trek, alot. Can’t imagine why the C U F keys are so… oh…
Nevermind.
There is a weensy spot of crystal light on the windows key. Otherwise it’s the spaces in between that are dusty. May I borrow your canned air, SylverOne?
My current keyboard is black, and only two months old, so none of the keys look particularly dirty. On the old keyboard it’s the 4 key. (I have no idea why.)
Way-hey!!! I now know what shall be going on my Christmas list this year :).

Why?
Pause/Break
I have never touched this key. I never will touch this key. I am afraid to touch this key.
F4 has some cheese sauce on it and the > key seems like it has dried gravy stuck to it. The entire keyboard looks pretty grody.
I’ve also worn out the letters s,v,n,m,k,l, and 0.
There’s a coffee stain about F10 that spreads all the way to the Fn key. Speaking of which, what the Sam Hill is the Fn key for?
\ has an interesting film on it. Alt appears to have a orange coloured fuzz growing up its left side.
F2, F3, and F4 all have some dried foodstuffs on them.
Ctrl Alt Delete
Anyone else running microsoft anything, after reflection, can probably say the same.
