Disabling the Norton AntiVirus - again

I know this has come up before but I cant find the previous thread. If someone could let me know, I would appreciate it.

Long as I’m here, might as well ask -

we had AOL dialup for a loooong time, and a Norton antivirus subscription, Our computer no longer works. we don’t need the NAV subscription any more and would like to disable it. somehow. because I’m afraid they are going to renew our subscription till the end of time. (I’m sorry to sound like such a dummy, but can they keep renewing it even on a dead computer?)

Here’s the removal tool. Is that what you’re looking for?

Here’s info on cancelling “On-Going Protection”. The information on that page says they’ll send you an email letting you know how much they are charging you when the software auto-renews, so the answer to your second question is, yep apparently they’ll keep charging you forever. Doesn’t matter what the status is of your machine, because they are going direct to charging whatever account you have them when you bought the software ETA: until you tell them to stop.

A simple Google search brought up these:

OMG. Thank you, thank you all.

You’re welcome.

I can’t tell you how much I rely on Google to find the answer to practically everything.
