Whats the whole “Hi Opal!” thing about anyway? are you refering to the SDMB member OpalCat? can someone link or tell me or something, or should start my own thread about it and stop crowding whistlepig’s

Flowerchild, the “Hi Opal” thing is one of those “been there, done that” areas of the SDMB. There’s a whole passel of folk who are sick to death of it, and some who still use it. Use, always, with caution, is my advice.

It came (IIRC) from a thread back in the ages where Opal commented that two items do not a list make. Hence, wiseacres making said lists include item three as a token “Hi, Opal!” (also to make her vanity search interesting, in theory.)
