Discworld novels, best & worst--you pick

Yes, the whole thing. I like elephants and turtles and Discworld so it seems perfect to me.
Um, when is it and where? I’d love to go but things like that are never anywhere near me.
Never mind. Just checked. Arizona. No chance in hell. Not only will I not be able to take the time off from work, I can’t afford it and I don’t go south in the summer. I learned that lesson going to Florida the first week in September. I am a northerner. I don’t do heat very well. I wish I could though.

Worst: Lords and Ladies, Eric

Best: ummm thats a difficult question. I’ll say Thief of Time, Night Watch, Guards! Guards!, and Pyramids.

I’m not that high on Rincewind, he’s decent but not great. I love Cohen the Barbarian, he really needs his own paperback series (I borrowed the Last Hero from my local library but haven’t purchased it yet).

Best: Small Gods but this a tough choice, my favourite charcters are Sam Vimes and Granny Weatherwax however Small Gods is the book I have re-read the most.

Worst: Monstrous Regiment I couldn’t finish it and I’ve yet to read another pterry book since.

I can’t pinpoint a “best” - it’d have to be a toss-up between Night Watch (fantastic writing, but so durn grim), Small Gods &* Feet of Clay* for tackling serious subjects and probably the (apparently not-much-loved) “Fifth Elephant” - I dunno why, except that the description of Uberwald and dwarf mines just clicked with me. (And the gloomy trousers of Uncle Vanya.)

Worst: Interesting Times. Material there for a good dozen short stories, and a lot of the individual vignettes were OK, but the overall plot didn’t click with me at all. It’s the least-read on my shelf.
