Disney animated feature films - F.. your Mom!

Inspired by this thread. Has Disney ever put out an original animated feature film where the character had… a mom?

Princess Jasmine: “Do you have Daddy issues?”
Princess Vanellope von Schweetz: “I don’t even have a Mom!”
Disney Princesses (in unison): "Neither do we!
-Ralph Breaks the Internet

I’m sure the actual answer is “yes”. Of course everyone has a Mom. But it does seem funny that it’s so common for Disney characters, Princesses in particular, to not have a Mom as a main character who is actually in the picture, to the point that it’s actually a self-referential joke in a Disney film.

Bambi had a Mom but then the evil known as the hunter killed her.

Since Disney owns Pixar, Brave’s Merida has a mom. She’s a beer.

Helen Parr leaps to mind.

IIRC, Mulan stays silent during that line, seeing as her mom appears in multiple early scenes.

I think the goal is to portray them as beautiful, independent, and brave rather than to remind their child viewers they have a mom that is constantly telling them what to do. LOL

A tall drink of water, perhaps…

I think this is a trope that is common in all of American entertainment media. Father raising family without a mom, especially in television in the old days.My Three Sons, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, The Andy Griffith Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, Diff’rent Strokes and so on.

I think someone once pointed out the lack of moms in the stories to Walt Disney himself, and he replied that a mom would fix everything, and there would be no story.

Don’t make fun of her Scottish accent!

Sleeping Beauty’s mom was alive and a (minor) character. Forgettable, maybe, but she was there.

Edit: Aurora may be the only Disney princess with a mom.

Mrs. Darling appears in the first and last scenes of Peter Pan.

The protagonist in Turning Red had a mother.

Chip the teacup in Beauty and the Beast had a mother (Mrs. Potts).
