Disney World - take or send the grandkids?

I just did this in November. Ten days in Orlando with my daughter, SIL and two kids. My husband and I didn’t treat them to the trip -we paid for our own flights , tickets to the park and we split paying for meals. No hotel room - they have a 2BR timeshare.

Disney is not the sort of park I’ve ever liked and we could have gone to Orlando and skipped the park (we went along mostly so daughter and son-in-law could run in some races that weekend) but then I would have missed seeing the kids right after they had makeovers at Bippity Boppity Boutique and seeing how happy they were with the whole experience. Might go again this year-but if we do, we’ll get park tickets for fewer days, not for a whole week. We were exhausted and ended up skipping a day.

Nice, good points. That is why a resort day is a good idea. Take a day - or two- off from the parks and just enjoy the resort hotels,
