Depends. I caught this troll pretty quickly. Just happened to be passing the dumpster with some garbage and noticed…“WTF? a new poster named AmyWantsSex?” Does that sound like a serious person to you? So I reads the threads and 30 seconds later, she/he’s gone down the rabbit hole. No need to lock.
If we discover a troll many days/threads after the fact, we may just lock the threads and leave a long thread there. If we can surgically remove the tumor, that’s what we do.
One could only hope.

She or it just posted a quote and a bunch of links without comment, so it wasn’t clear what the intention was. But given the username I wouldn’t bet that she/it had serious intentions.
