Diva cup versus Keeper. Girlie TMI.

Ok, I was just reading the menses-wrangling-techinique thread and the old menstrual cup thread, but didn’t think the mods would want it resurrected. So I think I might want to give one of these a whirl. I like the ecological and financial aspects and aren’t particularly squeamish so I’m thinking I like this idea.
I’ve seen lots of Keeper testimonials but only one person in the other threads mentioned the Diva. What’s the difference? One seems to be rubber and the other of something else. . . silicone. The Diva seems to be a newer design-- seems more flexible and doesn’t have as long of an, um, handle (which everyone seems to cut off the Keeper anyway). Info? Opinions? Testimonials?

Wow. Thump, like a brick.
Well, after consulting FAQs I ordered a DivaCup. We’ll see how it goes.

I don’t seem much of a difference from the two.

It just looks like Diva is silicon and Keeper is gum rubber. I could be wrong, but I hope you are happy with your choice. I love mine. Yes, I love a menstrual product.

I switched to the Diva from the Keeper after I had my son. I find it to be considerably more comfortable, the silicone is more flexible and seems to stay in place much more firmly while not seeming as heavy or as noticeable.

I’d definitely recommend the Diva.

I use the Instead Cup, but neither of the two brands you mentioned. It does not have a handle. (??) I have been reasonably happy with it. I don’t feel it at all once it is in place and have no trouble inserting it. It says you can have sex with it in on their website. I have, and it doesn’t leak or anything, but my partner (above average size but not huge) says he can feel it in certain positions and doesn’t like it. I still have not mastered removing it without it looking like something has been slaughtered in the toilet as well as getting my hand drenched, so I don’t wear them exclusively.

Due to the mess I make with these things, I have been curious about something. I have seen on those crime investigation shows that even if you wash blood off a wall or carpet or whatever, they can use some kind of light to see where blood had been. Does menstrual blood also glow under those lights? If so, I had better hope I am never under any such investigation - they are going to think someone was murdered in my bathroom…
