Division Playoffs (NFL)

WHO DAT!

Biggest playoff win in team history. Saints finally get to host the NFC Championship, and a shot at the Super Bowl. My vote for MVP of the game goes to Reggie Bush. 2 highlight reel game breaking plays.

I’m amazed Warner was able to return to the game. He got crushed on that interception return.

It’s one day shy of a month since the Colts tried to win a game, Thursday December 17th in Jacksonville. The following week was the lay-down against the Jets, then the stat-padding final week against Buffalo, then a bye.

The Colts/Baltimore game disgusts me so much. I was absolutely 100% wanting the Colts’ cowardly and fuckfacian plan to blow up in their faces, but there’s no way I ever want Baltimore to win a game. In fact the fact that it’s the Colts that could ruin their shit and make them even more miserable is even better. So I guess I want the Colts to win. But the idea of their bullshit being rewarded is disgusting. Oh, what a shitty game.

Ok, now let’s see if the Colts do the same as the Saints after laying down late. Personally, I think Baltimore looked much better last week than Arizona did (the Ravens have a defense).

Funny, I thought his quest for a second ring began back at the beginning of the season.

Oh, boy. This game, for me, is like deciding which one I prefer, the rectal prolapse or the distended taint. The Quitters v. the Criminals.

It’s too bad somebody has to win. Fortunately they’ll get beat by the Chargers next weekend, so I need only suffer one more week.

Wouldn’t it be something if Sudden Death Overtime really was? :dubious:

Well, it’s nice to see that the officials have picked their favorite.

They finished rusty because their defense was absolutely demolished by injuries. They really had no business handling the Pats like they did with the condition of their defense. Greer is an elite CB, Porter is good and Gay is mediocre, and they missed a combined 15 or so games in the second half of the season. For some reason, sports reporters didn’t care and kept going on about how the secondar would get handled by the Cards offense, even though WITH the injuries the Saints had the 3rd best passing defense in terms of opposing QB rating.

I’m really hoping for a Balto win so my Chargers will get another home game should they win tomorrow, not that facing the Ravens is a prize. I hope that they can pick it up in the second half.

That, to me, is the very definition of “unsportsmanlike conduct”.

Well, it is pretty clear that the referees are not going to let the Colts lose this game, no matter how hard the Colts try to lose it. It’s incredibly frustrating to watch, actually.

Let the coaches keep doing it, but give the kicker an extra 10 yards for the play or game clock being under 5? Sounds good to me.

C’mon. Even the announcers can see that Baltimore is killing themselves, not the officials.

Dan Dierdorf? Come on. If he were wearing an actual #18 Colts’ jersey and fellating a Peyton Manning doll between downs, he couldn’t be more in favor of the Colts here.

I disagree with your characterization. You won’t convince me and I won’t convince you, so can we agree to disagree instead of clogging the thread?

I mean, you agreed with that call on Ray Lewis in the end zone at the end of the first half? What the hell was he supposed to do, just literally not touch Collie?

Sure. You have your opinion, and I have reality. Sounds good to me.

The Ravens are being beat (and beating themselves) fair and square. Deal with it.

From your lips to God’s ears, but I’'m still rooting for the Ravens to turn things around.

Why is the default position always that you can’t have an opinion without being a fan of the team? I’m not a Ravens fan; I don’t give two craps who wins this game. I’d just like to see a game that’s well-officiated, and I don’t believe this one has been.

All that said, yikes, the Ravens are playing really stupid.

My post says nothing about whether or not you’re a Ravens fan, just that you have to deal with the fact that the Ravens are not losing because of the officiating (which you seemed to be saying with your the officials aren’t going to let the Colts lose crap).

Outside of maybe Lewis’ helmet to helmet hit on Collie, I haven’t seen anything that would lead me to the conclusion that the officiating hasn’t been fair. But, as you said, to each their own.
