Division Playoffs (NFL)

Man, I’m sorry I missed it. The Cowboys got beat by 3 more points in one game than Pittsburgh did in seven. And the difference between the two teams now? Pittsburgh gets a better draft pick.

What a great game that must have been.

I didn’t really think of the game being on ice until after that score. No, the Cowboys probably could not have scored three touchdowns. But no, the Vikings didn’t have a sportsman’s responsibility to let them try. Remember how last week somebody called the Packers late scores “garbage” and they ended up tying the game?

I was there for the Vikes. I actually thought that we should have started playing second string in the 4th, but on second thought, let them play. And if that means another TD, so be it.

So, in response to sportmanship, at least we didn’t humiliate them with second string and a TD.

I almost, almost, have hope for the team this year. Skol Vikings!

And Rice got three TD’s, a record. Don’t deny the man.

Holy Cow. A competitive playoff game! What a shock!!! Jets v. Indy would be one hell of an interesting Championship game, plot-wise.

The Jets could end up being a Cinderella in these playoffs. They’re giving the Bolts everything they want, and then some.

A Jets-Colts AFC Championship Game would be very fitting.

Long TD run for Green. I can’t believe the Jets are going to win this.

Jets are playing really well right now. Guess I must have forgot how crappy San Diego’s defense was this year.

Wouldn’t it be something if the team that got in because the Quitters gave up in the second half of a game they were leading came back to beat them in their house in the AFC Championship game? What schadenfreude that would be…

That would be a beautiful justice of the sort that few dramatists would get away with.

Jets
Jets
Jets!

What would be REALLY funny is the the Colts were to sit their starters in the 2nd half again to get them ready for the Superbowl.

Wow, 3 missed field goals in a playoff game? At home?

Wow.

That’s a hell of a catch by Vincent Jackson followed by an incredibly stupid-assed penalty.

Hey, they decided to start playing with 4:30 left in the 4th.

Chargers are far from dead, but it’s funny. I expected this to be the least likely “good game” of the weekend, and thought the Chargers were the only lock. This is why I don’t bet on football (or any sport).

Yeah, same here. Thought the Vikings/Cowboys game would be closer and this one a blowout in SD’s favor. Shows what I know.

As the saying goes, that’s why they actually play the games.

:frowning:  :frowning:

Our kicker must really feel like shit right now. A great season obliterated by his performance today.

:sigh:

Really, except for the Colts, any of the teams left could win it all and I would be happy. I’d just be much happier if it was the Vikings.
