In Colorado (and I assume other mountain states) if you flip down the armrest in the back seat of a sedan, there is a collapsible bag between the back seat and the trunk that allows you to put skis in the trunk so the tips extend into the back seat area.
Re: Commercials. I am talking about the manufacturer’s commercials, not the local dealers. Here we see commercials from all manufacturers that feature the cars driving through heavy snow in the mountains. I assume that they don’t see these in Florida.
My car has that. For guns.
In Texas, I think it was Ford trucks, “Built Texas Tough!” Not a dealership commercial, a manufacturer.
Block heaters. Standard on all vehicles in Saakatchewan. I assume you don’t have those on Florida either.
? How many guns don’t fit horizontally into the trunk?
That’s a good example.
The T-Rex killers. I don’t use it for guns. But I don’t use it for skis, either. My car came from a dealer in Minnesota. Maybe it was meant for the Rockies. Seemed to me that it was just something added in for unwieldy trunk cargo of any kind. I didn’t ask for it.
Did you get a block heater as well?
I can’t find a cite, can’t even figure out where I read it, but a while back I was looking for something and stumbled across a message board where a bunch of people where discussing whether or not a cars (at least Hondas) shipped to Hawaii had heater cores.
No. Do CO cars generally come with that? Just wondering. When I lived in Morrison, I could’ve used one a few times.
No. It rarely gets cold enough here to warrant it, other than a few geographically favored locations (Fraser).
My friend who lived in Fraser always called it Freezer. At least I could actually comfortably use an outdoor swimming pool in the summer!
As far as features, I can say it’s very rare to see a car sold down in the Texas area without A/C. I’ve heard it’s not 100% A/C’ed cars in some areas. Could’ve heard wrong.
Would not that small door from back seat to trunk be used for purchases like brooms and rakes?
