Do European, South American, etc. Football (Soccer) Leagues Have MVP, Rookie of the Year, etc.?

The question is in the title.

For those who don’t know, MVP means “Most Valuable Player.” IOW, an honor ceremonially given to the top player on the team.

English football has a player of the year, and a young player of the year award, as well as an “All Pro” type team.

The PFA awards were just announced for this season: Spurs' Gareth Bale wins PFA player of the year award - BBC Sport

Spanish football has also a player of the year, called “pichiche”. There is nothing like that in my country, Chile. I don’t know about other countries of the region.

English football actually has two widely-recognised Footballer of the Year awards, those of the Professional Footballers’ Association and the Football Writers’ Association. They seem to be equally prestigious. Quite often the two awards go to different players.
