I do now and then when they get out of control- lest I get returned to the wilderness by a over zealous game warden. My arm pits more often then that, so the deodorant has a fair chance of getting to the skin.
When I ride alot of road (biking) I do as its expected (tradition).
Because it’s only really done because all of the star athletes do it! All fast swimmers and cyclists shave their legs, so all the small time athletes in their teens do the same, coming up with technical jargon about friction and drag. Big name athletes generally don’t tell people they shave their pubic hair, so it’s not copied.
Plus, the legs are the most hyped as improving your speed; and the rest of the body hair is kind of ignored; many guys I know even shave the legs and then leave the arms!
In reality, I expect, if anybody actually sat down and worked it out, the drag created by human body hair would NOT create enough drag to drag a person down a place, even in the closest of races. We are NOT that hairy!
Forgot to mention, I’m a guy, and have never trimmed or shavedany of my body hair; it’s rather short and red as well, which means I don’t have to worry about looking like a gorilla. Plus, I love the ffel of it. I tfeels manly! and I do not ususally use the word ‘drag’ that many times in close succession, either.
