I’ve owned several houses over the past 35 years. I know all this better than anyone.
***[Crabby old man hat on] ***I hate dealing with contractors. Even the ones with high ratings always have something wrong with them.
I called 5 reputable companies last week to deal with this issue. Only 1 got back to me. He set up an appointment for this afternoon.
Of course he didn’t show.
When I called him he was like, “duh, that was today?”. He made the fucking appointment yesterday and even had texted me to confirm it! :mad::smack::rolleyes:
I once had one of the highest rated companies in the area repair a roof on a rental property I owned. A tree had fallen through it during a windstorm. They fixed the roof and rafters just fine, but neglected to replace the air vents in the roof at the attic space. Some time later I had an attic full of mold and tenants getting sick! At least they settled the law suite highly to mine and the tenants advantage.
I hate dealing with them. I wish I could do the work my self but it’s not my forte’.
