I didn’t know there was a youth Olympics until I read the OP. Now that I do know, I am not sure that I care. But I am not sure I care about the regular Olympics either.

I’ve never heard of the Youth Olympics, either.

I knew because it was one of the news stories on the Wikipedia front page.

I was aware of it from reading Google news, and I’ve read one or two articles, I think mostly about Canadian swimmers earning medals. I wouldn’t say I don’t care, but I don’t seek out information about it either. I think it’s cool for the participants, and hope they continue to improve at their sport.

I only found out about it yesterday from the Youtube main page, while looking up a particular Mythbusters episode. I was momentarily confused by the fact that the Olympics were apparently on, but then went back to watching Kari demolish a car with great enthusiasm.

Yes, and a little, until I realized that the television coverage is really quickly edited: you’re lucky to get 5 minutes in a row of one event. I was hoping to get to watch more diving and gymnastics, which are my favorite Olympics-y sports to watch on television.

I heard about it on the radio; they were doing a story on the subject of “Does anyone care about the Youth Olympics anyway?”
