Witch Hazel is the best after shave I’ve found. It’s a mild astringent. It’ll sooth any nicks after shaving and doesn’t have the perfume smell.
Nivea’s products are good; I’ve loved their “Post-Shave Balm” for years. Currently I use something from “Gillette Pro Series” which hydrates pretty well.
I’ve also found that my face feels loads better ever since I switched from traditional shaving cream to a glycerine shaving soap, which I lather up with a brush and apply. It doesn’t dry my skin or hair like the canned stuff.
Seriously, go to a cosmetics counter and talk to the saleslady. Like a MAC rep would be able to help you so, so much. If you had no idea that women regularly put lotion on their face (it’s called moisturizing and is generally thought to be the most important part of one’s daily facial regimen), you would benefit from professional help! They will do a mini-consultation, and probably try to get you to buy things. You don’t have to buy the things, but you can at least clue in. Lots of guys, apparently, moisturize and buy MAC cosmetics (foundation or concealer). You should also be exfoliating before you moisturize on a regular basis, if you want to look younger longer.
Oh dammit! Spam again!
