Do modern military backpacks have those quick release buckles on them?

A bit of a random question, perhaps. The example that comes to mind is the Stargate:SG-1 episode The Warrior, when O’Neill just unclipped his backpack and let it fall to the ground, and I was wondering if real US military equipment had the same sort of feature.

I saw a review on youtube that some arc teryx military pack had it. I couldn’t find anywhere that specifically says it does, but the link below says The Eagle Industries FSBE II Patrol Pack
does.

Thanks, Harmonix. I hadn’t been able to find anything that seemed to confirm it one way or another but the page you linked to did, and helped me find this page talking specifically about one of the ones used by the USMC.

All my Army packs have a similar quick-release mechanism. It’s a different sort of buckle but serves the same purpose. (We use these backpacks, though I’m a new enough soldier that I’ve never seen one in anything but universal camo.)

ETA - I can’t speak with any certainty for other services, but I can’t imagine anyone doesn’t use quick-release straps.

Thanks for the additional verification, NinjaChick.
