Simple question really.
I know charities such as Salvation Army, Diabled Vets, etc. are exempt from the National Do Not Call list. I get calls from each of them about once a week to see if I have anything to leave on the curb.
Can you still verbally request to them to take you off their call list?
Will they comply?
Apparently political campaigns are also exempt, I used to get calls from a couple of them all the time. So far phone sex with the caller attempts seem to be the most successful way to stop it. I haven’t recieved a call from them in a couple years now.
You can verbally request to them anything you want. Most legit charities will remove your name if you ask nicely. (After all, it wastes their time calling someone they know will never donate.)
Less reputable “charities” might not be so inclined.
As far as I can remember, I have never had a charity call me back once I have asked to be removed from their list.
