I had heard this, but my Zyban was covered. I had been prepared to call my doctor and have him change the prescription, but the need never presented itself. (Now I need to try taking the Zyban! I know I’m terribly addicted; even the thought of it gives me the shakes.)
This is correct. My brother was in a test study for Propecia before it came out on the market as a drug to help reduce male pattern baldness (it was being used to treat some other problem before that. I want to say something involving the prostate, but don’t quote me). He told me about this particular side effect.
My husband is taking Paxil, and so far, no trouble with impotence. He did have a minor problem, however, when he added Neurontin to the mix. He called the doctor, and the doctor told him to stop the Neurontin. He did, and that problem went away.
You must have really good insurance. It’s usually not covered.
