"Side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness and diarrhea"

I heard this on a drug commercial, and couldn’t help but think that those are three side effects you do not want to have simultaneously.

Increased sex drive and impotence could be a problem (as could decreased sex drive and spontaneous erections :D).

Dave Berry: “Remind me never to mix sleeping pills and Ex-Lax again.”

You mean they’re running ads for my chemo meds?? Ewww.

“Side effects of this medication may include drowsiness, dizziness, and diarrhea. Driving or operating heavy machinery while taking this medication is not recommended. If you do drive or operate heavy machinery, we suggest using rentals and buying the optional insurance and cleaning service.”

Weeee-doggy! Where do I sign up?

increased appetite, bloating, and constipation would suck.

vomiting, drowsiness and diarrhea on the other hand…

If you’re going to be nauseous and have the squirts, it’s probably not a good time to get low.

There’s an opportunity here for an entrepreneur to offer a padded, caffeinated diaper.

I love these ads. You see some ad with children playing, a loving couple on the grass spooning and butterflies. You still don’t have any idea what the ad’s about but that’s ok. Then, at the end…

…may cause drowsiness, dizziness, diarrhea, constapation, bloating, hives, red eye, dry mouth, blood clots, kidney failure, bloody stool, sore throat…use only as perscribed.

Gotta love the drug industry.

I always think this about Paxil. The ads say some “sexual sideefects could occur” So like now I am not TOO shy to meet people but am to freakin drugged to DO anything after having met them? Good hell!

Reminds me of Olestra.

I once had three non-english speaking patients who had ingested what, we first thought, was an herbicide. The treatment was IV alcohol. After 30 minutes or so, we got new information that it had really been an insecticide. Different treatment. Atropine, activated charcoal & a strong laxative. Think of the combined consequences. We got them really drunk then made them s**t their brains out. All with no explaination. (Translator didn’t arrive until all was said & done)

I had to move this thread… It was right below the one you entitled

“My dream lover…”

“Side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness and diarrhea”

It just didn’t look right…

I have nothing more to add… It’s a bad combination.
So are the triple D’s.

You guys’re hilarious - I’m laughing so hard that I’m tearing up!

Some medications have so many side effects (and the voice-over says three of them each second) that it might be just better to toughen out the problem…

Well, depending on the problem, of course

You guys will be shocked to find out that my OTC sleeping pills “May cause drowsiness or sleepiness.” I was astonished.

No, actually, I think the possible side effect is priapism. You’ll have to look that up yourself.

Good god. I know I have a one-track mind, but I could have sworn that line reads “you’ll have to hook that one up yourself.”

Hook me up. Please.

I had some medication for dizziness once. One of the listed side effects was dizziness.
