Do Orange Pips end up in Orange Juice ?

Inspired by this thread, I was wondering why the run of the mill Orange Juice tastes kinda bitter.

Are the orange pips (seeds) removed before they pulp the orange ? How is it done ? How is the skin removed ?

Is there any “genetically modified” oranges with no seeds ?

There are naturally occurring oranges without seeds, called “navel” oranges - I have 3 trees of 'em in my back yard. They’re called “navel” because they have an area at the bottom of each orange that strikingly resembles a human belly button.

Juice oranges (usually called “Valencia” oranges) are different from navel oranges. They have a thin skin and a lot more juice in them, and frequently, seeds, although there are some seedless Valencia varieties available.

How they make orange juice.
