I don’t want to give examples (hey, that would be bragging) but what pdts describes absolutely works for Spain. Nothing like being able to shut up a braggart with a bigger and easily-provable acomplishment.
This is why I feel embarrassed and weird around folks that brag too much (occasional honest bragging is fine…“Hey! My kid just won the chess competition! I’m so proud!”).
I often feel like, as you are standing here going on and on about your high IQ, it is very possible that others’ IQ in the room trump yours. And they have the good sense not to keep ‘innocently’ wedging that number into conversations that have nothing to do with IQs. Cringe-worthy.
