Actually I think it would be against the rules to suggest someone split open their insides with high-pressure toxic water. But I’m not a mod.
Can we tell someone “Go cloture it!” Or, “Abstain you!”?
These gyrations aimed at finding a way to legally say “fuck you” to someone remind me of the old Flick Theater in West Texas. A porno place, it was regularly picketed by the church crowd, making the evening news whenever that happened. And the cameramen would invariably film the theater’s name, “Flick,” from a side angle to where the letters L and I sort of merged together making a U.
– italics mine.
Probably. If someone said that to me, I’d be much more likely to go “WT living Fuck” is he/she telling me. But then yeah, I’d likely say go fuck yourself.
Tough one.
I suppose it is evocative of that. It probably wouldn’t be funny if people weren’t familiar with McConnell’s antics. I am still laughing about that- maybe I think it is funnier than anyone else does.
It’s almost like voting for something before you vote against it!
Yah, but even more absurd.
I suppose in the context of a poster refuting their own argument the phrase could be interpretted as humorous. In other contect I’d expect moderator intervention. I think this would most likely come up in GD and not be well received there.
How about ‘Go Mitch McConnell yourself’?
There’s a rule about insults!
Only if you don’t understand how legislatures work. A vote isn’t always a vote. We’re humans, not Vulcans.
lol
Well, I don’t hang around the legislature much. Maybe you’re right because I’m not sure why you are reassuring me of our humanity in this context.
