It would seem as if the game room is in a flurry of Brain Teaser / Trivia type games currently.

Lets Keep it up!

Rules are real simple.

Answer the questions correctly, by filling in the number the clue asks for.

Do the math indicated.

Post your answers.

Post your own problem as well.

Questions with trains leaving at noon are right out.

Example:

1.Take the number you get when you multiply the number of planets (In our solar system, with exclusion of Pluto) by the number of Brady Bunch Kids.

2.Subtract this number from the number of US States.

3.Multiply your new number by Opal’s favorite number.

(As you can tell, the difficulty here can vary, widely)

Good. They can now get harder.

Take the total number of balls on a pool table when a standard game of 8 Ball begins.

Add this number to the total number of main characters in the history of “The Three Stooges”.

Add to this number, the number of branches in the US Goverment.

Subtract a “Baker’s Dozen” by this number.

What is the answer?

I. Take the number of runs awarded to the 'winning" team in a baseball game that’s been forfeited.

II. Add it to the number of counties in the Republic of Ireland (that is, the counties that do NOT still belong to the UK).

III. Divide by the number of U.S. Presidents born in Ohio.

IV. Multiply by the number of colored circles on a “Twister” mat.

Wait…do you mean subtract a baker’s dozen by the number I get, or subtract the number I get from a baker’s dozen?

Also: The number of stooges is…tricky. I’ll spoiler why:


Obviously there’s the big three, Larry, Moe, and Curly. Most people also know of Shemp. However, there were also two more…Joe, and Curly-Joe. So the answer might be 4, which I’m guessing is what you’re looking for, since most people don’t know about the other two, but it can also be 6.

I did the math from your answer, and I think know what you did.

I will admit to one or two “Not so fast!” trick questions in my set-up. :eek:

Both of them are not immediately obvious, and play off an assumption you made.

In any event, you need to keep counting, on both of them. :smiley:

  2. Multiply it by the number of tracks on Eminem’s first major-label album.

  3. Divide the result by the Simpsons season number during which the episode Mr. Plow aired.

  4. Subtract from this the number of men who have walked on the Moon.

  5. Add the meaning of life*

*Yes, it’s an integer.
